Format:
87 Videos + 87 PDFs,
Overview (Details, Topics and Speakers):
Practice Gap: Board certification is the primary mechanism to evaluate and assure competence in medical practice. Internal Medicine certification examinations require a recollection of various specialty and clinical scenarios to demonstrate competence. With the range of therapeutic areas in internal medicine being broader than any other medical specialty, most physicians are unable to maintain best-practice knowledge and skills in all areas of practice. This conference will fill these gaps for general internists and internal medicine subspecialists.
Target Audience:
This activity has been designed for general internists, subspecialists and other health professionals attending ACOI’s 2021 Internal Medicine Board Review Course focused on internal medicine review for certification and recertification purposes.
Learning Objectives:
• Revise and refresh knowledge of core topics in internal medicine and the subspecialties through discussion of common and uncommon clinical problems;
• Apply successful strategies to respond to challenging examination questions;
• Synthesize and implement changes in clinical practice in accordance with recent advances and guidelines and evidence-based practice.
