The complexity of decision making in thoracic surgery is growing exponentially. Assessment: Of the 50 chapters in this edition, 35 are new, while the remaining chapters are written by new authors. Practitioners and trainees in thoracic surgery will find this an important book for keeping up with the latest, evidence-based recommendations as well as getting practical and candid advice they can use in clinical practice. This update is essential in this rapidly changing field.
